The Weather You Bring Home
“He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.”Psalm 112:7 (KJV)
Your family can usually tell how your day went before you even get through the door. One frustrating email read in the driveway can set the tone for the whole evening. Everyone ends up managing your weather.
Psalm 112 describes a different kind of man. “He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.” Bad news still comes. But it doesn’t knock him over, because his heart is anchored somewhere else.
A fixed heart doesn’t mean pretending things are fine. It means bringing the hard day to God before you bring it to your family. Leave the email for tomorrow. Pray in the driveway. Walk in as someone who is held.
Your home shouldn’t have to wait on your mood. Let it rest on the God who holds you.

Lord, fix my heart on you. Let my family feel your peace in me, even on hard days. Amen.
