Faithful in All His House
“My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.”Numbers 12:7 (KJV)
When Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses, God defended him with a striking line: “My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.” Moses wasn’t perfect, but he was faithful.
Hebrews quotes that exact phrase and then takes it further. “And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; But Christ as a son over his own house.”
Moses was a faithful servant inside the house. Christ is the Son who owns the house. Moses pointed to what was coming. Christ is what was coming.
Then Hebrews tells us where we fit: “whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.” You are part of his house. Faithfulness for you looks like holding on, all the way to the end.

Read Hebrews 3:1–6. What does the writer call Jesus in verse 1?
What would it look like for you to hold fast your confidence this week?
Lord Jesus, you are the Son over your house. Thank you that I belong there. Help me hold fast to the end. Amen.
